A little bit about me…
I grew up in Kentucky, lived a few years in Florida in my 20’s and I’ve been in Tennessee since 2013.
My husband and I were married in 2014 and adopted our son in 2018. I also have 4 step children and a granddaughter.
Y’all is part of my vocabulary and it doesn’t matter if I’m talking to a friend or a superior I still use it.
My perfect day would start off by waking up early and having a cup of coffee on my porch swing. Then I’d get to go do a little shopping at my favorite stores. Since it’s my perfect day I’d find lots of sales and coupons (I love a deal) and ending it with Mexican food with my family.
My favorite quote: The most beautiful voice in the world is that of an educated Southern woman ~ Winston Churchill
A little bit about The Life of a Southern Girl…
A Southern Girl is a woman of any age that has a love for the South.
She’s a woman that puts her faith and her family first and her family isn’t just relatives, her friends are also her circle of family.
She’s a woman that can whip up a dinner unexpectedly and welcome her guest in with open arms.
She is strong, loving, thoughtful and most of all true to herself.
My goal of Life of a Southern Girl is to share my recipes, recreate my Mamaw’s recipes and share everything else southern that I love.
You’ll find ideas for your home, mini weekend vacations in the South and even posts related to being a southern momma.
I have dreamt of The Life of a Southern Girl for years and I believe that there’s more to this than a blog and I’m excited to see where this takes me.
